Teachers are warm and helpful." - Anuja Chindarkar

"My daughter did Pre-School and Kindergarten at FMSS and we couldn't be happier with her development both in the academics and in her social skills! She always came back home full of stories and things to tell about her day, the things she learned and everything that she saw and did on the outings along the seawall and the beautiful neighbourhood the school is located. We highly recommend FMSS!" - Henrique Barone

"My son attended FMSS for 3 years, just completing Kindergarten with their amazing, caring, and knowledgeable guides. We watched him flourish both academically and socially throughout his time at FMSS and couldn’t be more thankful to the guides and community for the experience he (& we) had. He absolutely loved his time there and was sad to be saying goodbye. The individualized attention and thoughtful lesson plans were catered to each child and their pace of learning, while also knowing when to push and challenge them out of their comfort zone. We highly recommend FMSS and can't wait to enrol our younger son there next year!" - Quinn Leyland

"Family Montessori has been an incredible experience for our daughter’s first year of school. The teachers (guides) —Jean, Sera, and Elena—go above and beyond every day, bringing unique strengths that blend into an incredibly nurturing environment. They genuinely care about each child, focusing on their individual needs and fostering a deep sense of confidence and independence.

From weekly music, dance, and sports classes to the absolutely adorable Christmas recital (which will bring tears to anyone’s eyes!), the school provides so many enriching experiences. One of the first things I noticed was how confident and self-assured the older students are—both the second and third-year children and even the older siblings I see at drop-off. It’s truly remarkable.

When we first enrolled our daughter at age three, my husband and I were nervous. She had never been away from us, and we didn’t know anyone who had attended the school. But from the moment I did my observation visit, I could see how much the students felt cared for. That reassurance has only grown over time, and we are forever grateful for choosing Family Montessori.

I wholeheartedly recommend this school to any parent looking for not only the benefits of early childhood Montessori education but also the support of truly incredible guides." -

"My child attends family Montessori and absolutely love this school! The classroom is bright, clean, super organised and well set-up for their age and even mine. When being inside the classroom everyone feels loved and peaceful with an active vibe. The guides (teachers) are loving with a good depth of knowledge. I see my child blossom during our years attending the school and feel very lucky that we are part of the family and my child’s journey started with wonderful classmates and her beloved teachers in FMSS." - Lu Du

"It is with immense gratitude and wholehearted enthusiasm that I write this letter in
support of the Family Montessori School Society (FMSS). Our family had the privilege of being
part of this exceptional community for six years, from 2018 to 2024, as both of our sons
attended the full three-year program. Enrolling them at FMSS remains the single most
important decision we’ve made as parents, as it laid the foundation for their social, academic,
and artistic growth. Each year—age 3, age 4, and kindergarten—offered remarkable
opportunities for development, fostering skills and values that continue to benefit them as they
navigate their elementary years.

FMSS goes above and beyond in offering a holistic educational experience, incorporating
enriching extracurricular activities into the program. Our children delighted in field trips to
Granville Island, music and dance classes, and soccer, while also learning about nature through
the school’s garden and interactions with the natural world. Memorable activities included
incubating and hatching baby chicks, observing the butterfly life cycle with real insects, and
engaging with hands-on learning that fostered curiosity and respect for the environment. These
unique experiences complemented the Montessori curriculum and deepened our children’s
understanding of the world around them.

The kindergarten year was particularly formative, as it offered our boys the opportunity to lead
and serve as role models for their younger peers in the 3- and 4-year-old classes. Recognizing
the value of this experience, we chose to postpone their entry to elementary school so they could
fully embrace the leadership opportunities and growth this year provided. It was a decision we
are profoundly grateful for, as it allowed them to develop confidence, empathy, and a sense of
responsibility. FMSS’s commitment to fostering both individual and collective growth created a
transformative experience that we believe all children would benefit from." -
